The red light is bright enough to read astar chart or findcables and connectors during your astronomy orastrophotographynight session. The brightness can be controlled byswiping down orto the left to dim, or by swiping up or to theright to increase thebrightness. Short or fast swipes willincrease or decrease thebrightness in small increments. Long slowswipes will increase ordecrease the brightness to the maximum orminimum.
